PE 3D computer bioplasm nls-diagnostics



In 10 patients we found out air achromogenic (1-2 points at the Fleindler’s scale) cavities of irregular shape with walls of unchanged hypochromogenic pulmonary tissue without visible walls. Air cavities had centrilobular location, changes were the most significant in superior lobes, especially in cacuminal and posterior segments. In 26 patients we registered areas of decreased chromogeneity, of roundish shape and the small sizes (2–3 mm), located also subpleuraly and paraseptaly. In 12 patients air cavities occupied almost the whole volume of secondary segments in supradiaphragmatic areas of lungs. In 7 patients we noted presence of large and huge subpleural blebs with hyperchromogenic walls (5-6 points at the Fleindler’s scale) and their combination with air cavities of other location.

According to a number of authors, these changes correspond to various variants of emphysema (intralobular, paraseptal, panlobular). In diagnostics of PE 3D computer bioplasm nls-diagnostics is most informative at early stages of disease.

Bioplasm-graphy can become one of leading methods



COPD is related to widespread diseases of a human. In the USA the tendency to increased incidence of COPD is marked: only for last period this indicator has increased by 25% in men and by 69% in women. The next years the further growth of disease is predicted. Epidemiological data related to disease incidence and death rate often underestimates importance and prevalence of COPD, as usually it is not diagnosed before clinically manifested and relatively severe stages of the disease develop. According to the American respiratory society, only 25% of disease cases are diagnosed in due time. In the USA COPD incidence grow near 15 million persons.
Recently appeared method of computer bioplasm-graphy can become one of leading methods of medical visualization in diagnostics of various diseases of chest cavity organs. This technique allows to extend significantly diagnostic possibilities of hardware research methods in revealing of various morphological changes of lungs and bronchial tubes. Thanks to last year’s introduction of three-dimensional computer nonlinear diagnostics into clinical practice it became possible to analyze lesser changes of pulmonary parenchyma and bronchioles (sized 300–600 microns). Thanks to this, in order to reveal COPD at early stages, it is recommended to apply bioplasm and especially methods of 3D computer bioplasm-diagnostics. 3D computer bioplasm-diagnostics has changed approaches to COPD diagnostics. With introduction of 3D computer nonlinear diagnostics into clinical practice differentiation of various forms of an emphysema and bronchiolitis has became more exact. The real contribution of 3D computer bioplasm-diagnostics into studying of illnesses of small respiratory ways is one of the most important achievements of bioplasm-graphy method for the last decade.

1. The main advantage of Bioplasm nls software-research at pre-surgery examination of patients with RC was reliable diagnostics of a primary tumor spreading into structural elements of cavitary system, paranephric fat and kidney’s capsule, especially in diagnostics of thrombogenesis (invasion) in renal vein or inferior vena cava.

2. On the basis of Bioplasm nls software-study we noted a tendency to increasing of stages of a main disease and therefore increasing of number of radical surgical interventions. At the same time differentiation of a 1st and a 3rd stages of RC is possible, when it is difficult and sometimes impossible on the basis of ultrasound study results.

3. In some cases we carried out differential diagnostics of malignant or benign character of revealed neoplasm growth using SEA, which was confirmed by biopsy in 98.2% of cases.

At the same time we should emphasize the following factor. The first two categories of RC regional invasion criteria and symptoms of tumor invasion into neighboring organs are characterized by the clear dependence of symptoms revealing frequency from size of the primary tumor with maximum values at tumors above 70 mm size. Symptoms of regional metastasis and symptoms of thrombogenesis or invasion into renal vein or inferior vena cava were registered more frequently at size of primary tumor from 41 to 70 mm (24.8%) and from 20 to 40 mm (14%) correspondingly.

Besides we should note a possibility to reveal signs of regional spreading of a primary tumor of less than 10 mm size by bioplasm 9d nls analyzer-ultramicroscanning with SEA. In single cases of such tumors we registered an invasion into kidney’s cavitary system (0.8%), extrarenal spreading (1.2%) and symptoms of regional metastasis (2.8% of cases).

The main objective of three-dimensional bioplasm nls-graphy of patients

Difficulties of modern diagnosing and adequate surgical treatment of renal cancer (RC) are conditioned mainly by absence of certain specific clinical manifestations of RC, continuous asymptomatic course and late applying of patients to a clinic for specialized help. At the same time about 50% of renal tumors are diagnosed at asymptomatic stage during clinical studies not related to RC, these cases are called “radiologist tumor”. Among “accidentally” revealed tumors 85% are localized forms, when at the presence of clinical symptoms only 40-45% of tumors develop in a kidney.

Development of renal cancer surgical treatment technologies with a tendency to almost global introduction of laparoscopic and organ-preserving methods of surgery considerably increases requirements not to only well-timed diagnostics of RC, but to evaluation of its regional prevalence ratio mainly. The main objective of three-dimensional bioplasm nls-graphy of patients with renal cancer was in defining or specifying of the main process stage and in some cases in differential diagnostics of revealed neoplasm.
